2013 Denver Academy Symposium
on Learning Differences:
What's Gender Got to Do with It?
Featuring Keynote Speakers: Kelley King and Kim Bevill
March 8, 2013 ~ 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This year’s Symposium will be the sixth in a series of conferences hosted at Denver Academy focusing on meeting the needs of students with learning differences, their families and those professionals who serve them. This year we are excited to bring two keynote speakers to our Symposium, Kim Bevill and Kelley King. Both are national speakers, bringing groundbreaking research and experience from the field of gender studies. In addition, Denver Academy faculty and friends of the institution will lead breakout sessions for practitioners and parents on specific topics.
As our collective understanding of the role that gender plays continues to evolve, our teaching, learning and parenting must keep pace in order to create the best world possible for our children.
Registration is now closed, please email Philippe Ernewein for possible openings.
