Frequently Asked Questions

List of 3 items.

  • Do I have to commit to volunteering if I attend a DAPA meeting or event?

There is no obligation to volunteer if you attend a DAPA meeting or event. DAPA meetings and events that bring our community together are an opportunity to connect with other parents and support one another. Please consider attending a parent event and help build our community.
  • Does DAPA fundraise for DA?

DA’s Development Department handles school fundraising. DAPA activities are funded as part of the school budget. This is so parents can concentrate on being partners with the faculty and staff and building connections with other parents rather than fundraising.
  • If I work during school hours, can I still participate in DAPA?

Typically, DAPA parent meetings and events take place first thing in the morning after drop off, or after school hours and evenings. Not all volunteer activities require attendance at school-hour events. If you are interested in at-home volunteering, let your DAPA division head know as they can then direct those opportunities to you. Contact dapa@denveracademy.org for more information.

We provide social and academic experiences for students in partnership with DA faculty and staff. This also includes our After Prom event that provides high school students with a safe and fun place to celebrate when Prom is over. • Supporting Faculty and Staff

DAPA works to show our amazing faculty and staff how much we appreciate their dedication to our kids by hosting several school-wide social events for them throughout the year.
  • Enhancing DAPA Funding

DAPA activities are funded as part of the school budget. This is so parents can concentrate on being partners with the faculty and staff. You can enhance the DAPA budget by participating in our grocery rewards program. It costs you nothing extra and DAPA will earn money to enhance programs and activities for our kids!
