Jon Swift, DA Class of 2002: Owner of The End Results Hair Salon

It may have been 20 years since he graduated from Denver Academy, but Jon Swift says DA will always be home. Swift graduated from DA in 2002 and now lives in Commerce City, Colo. He is the owner of The End Results Hair Salon in Thornton, Colo.

There was always a supportive staff.

That I can be my own boss, as I spent years running hotels and worked nonstop. I now own a large salon and I don't do hair. I just own and operate the business.

How to communicate.

I loved everyone, but Dan Toomey and I had a strong connection.

 

At DA we were all family — staff and students. We laughed, we played, we learned. We all had our own cliques, but everyone was still friends. I never had to worry about bullying. During my graduation, Dan Toomey spoke for me and how I wanted to be in law enforcement. In my early 30s, I did become a federal officer on death row. But, most of my career was upper management in high-end hotels. When my dad and aunt passed, I decided to invest in myself and buy a business. I now own and operate The End Results Hair Salon in Thornton.
