Nathan Bessen, DA Class of 2012: Chemist for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Nathan Bessen, a 2012 DA graduate, is now a chemist for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Wash. He says the mentorship he received in high school from DA teachers Mr. Price and Mr. Sasaki led him to explore career opportunities in chemistry and physics. After graduating from DA, Bessen attended the Colorado School of Mines and earned his undergraduate degree followed by his Ph.D. in Chemistry. While working toward his doctorate, he was afforded the opportunity to travel to many national laboratories to perform experiments. He is married to Poki Tse,  also a chemist. Way to go, Mustang!
